Class Notes

Michael Moffitt ’94 was named Dean of the University of Oregon Law School on December 8, 2010.  He will assume the deanship on July 1, 2011. The entire Harvard Law School negotiation community congratulates Michael on this wonderful accomplishment. It’s great news for our field and we know he will be a stellar Dean.

Rishi Batra ’07 was selected the Langdon Fellow in Dispute Resolution at Ohio State University.

Stephanie Early ’09 has been working at White & Case LLP in Washington, DC since November 2009. She works primarily with the International Investment Arbitration practice group, focusing on disputes between investors and Latin American states that have been brought before the International Center for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). She has been working since June out of White & Case’s São Paulo, Brazil office and will be there until mid-December.

Matt Hutchins ’10 took the California bar this summer and is currently clerking at the bankruptcy court for the Southern District of New York.


Zeke Reich ’10 received a Presidential Management Fellowship to work in the Workplace ADR office of the Veterans Administration, where he mediates Equal Employment Opportunity disputes, trains VA employees in ADR skills, and oversees the agency’s ADR Neutrals Certification Program.  “Every day I draw on experiences and teachings from the Clinical Program, the Dispute Systems Design class, and all the other ADR opportunities I was lucky enough to be involved in at HLS,” Reich said.
