Project Place

Project Place is a non-profit that serves homeless and low-income individuals in stabilization, employment, and housing, through skills-based education and case management. Project Place would like to improve its dispute resolution system to be more client-centered, in order to improve its programs and services while building skills in conflict resolution to be a source of empowerment for its clients in both their personal and professional lives. Project Place has engaged HNMCP to establish a dispute resolution system that will be utilized for client-to-client and client-to-staff disputes that empowers clients and can help them build skills in dispute resolution that they can use in both their personal and professional lives.

Activities & Deliverables

  • Stakeholder assessment, including staff, clients, board members, community partners, and alumni;
  • Review existing grievance procedures and dispute resolution system;
  • Develop guidelines/procedures for clients and staff to manage disputes in a way that empowers clients
  • Create guidelines for clients and for staff to help each manage disputes;
  • Presentation to staff
